Helena Johansson Lindell works with hierarchical structures and prejudices in the field of art jewellery. She embraces materials and methods that from a societal perspective are considered to have a low status but are frequently used in pop culture. Colorful plastic and wood have been recurring materials and in the new works Helena Johansson Lindell has used macramé. In parallel with her artistic practice, we find her on roller skates in Stockholm's skate ramps. Sports, arts and crafts with pop cultural elements meet in wonderful surprising combinations.
Helena Johansson Lindell is a jewellery artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. Helena Johansson Lindell studied at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts & Design in Stockholm and at KHIO - Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Her work has been shown in solo shows in Norway, Thailand, USA and Brazil; and in group exhibitions such as Schmuck 2017-2018 during the International Craft Fair in Munich, the 6th European Triennial of Contemporary Jewellery that toured Belgium, Sweden and France in 2017-2018 and It’s green at Galerie Handwerk, Munich.

At PLATINA you find a broad range of high-quality art jewellery. During the years we have been working internationally with artists and clients from all over the world and we have been working outside the gallery as well, with exhibitions, popup events, fairs, experimental projects, lectures, education, seminars and more.
